The Bay St. George Mi’kmaq Cultural Revival Committee is reporting another successful Powwow this year.
Over 2,300 people made their way to the Flat Bay area to celebrate Indigenous culture in the region, coming from as far as Germany to take in the celebration.

Beanland, who has been with the committee for the past nine years, says they have seen the event grow.
She says they see people’s dancing and regalia grow with each year as they gain confidence. She says it’s important they get to celebrate their culture in this way each year.
