Derby Day at Quidi Vidi Lake is not until tomorrow but the festivities actually kick off this this evening with a concert at the bandstand.

Regatta Eve launches at 5:00 with School of Rock, followed at 6:00 by the Old Contemporaries with Siochana closing things out from 7:30 to 9:00.

Royal St. John’s Regatta President Noelle Thomas-Kennell says being pondside on Regatta Eve has become part of Regatta week tradition for many rowers, vendors and spectators.

The Regatta is partnering with Inclusion NL again this year to provide services such as having a large-print version of the schedule, a toll free number to call with accessibility inquiries 1-844-517-137, a text number to contact 709-697-3323, and golf cart transportation provided by Bally Haly Country Club available from Kings Bridge Road bus stop to Quidi Vidi Lake.

Metrobus will operate a load and go service between Confederation Building and Dominion on Kings Bridge Road between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
