Government is giving $700,000 in funding for crisis hotlines in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The funding aims to strengthen support services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in the province and empower the hotlines to offer more robust resources and assistance.
Premier Andrew Furey was joined by federal and provincial cabinet ministers at the news conference.
The money comes under a $30 million commitment over five years to bolster crisis hotlines across the country.
