A major road construction project gets underway this coming Monday. The reconstruction of Elizabeth Avenue from Allandale Road to Westerland Road will begin first in the Allandale area but eventually make its way to the end of the first phase by November 30.
Thru traffic will be permitted during the project but the city says to expect delays.
The road will be re-done with a buffer between the roadway and the shared-use path.
Next year, the path will be extended along Elizabeth from Westerland to close to Freshwater Road.
