It’s Miracle Treat Day at all Dairy Queen locations across Canada.
Today, all net proceeds from every Blizzard treat purchased will be donated to the Janeway Children’s Hospital.
Local celebrities will be serving up Blizzard treats. If there isn’t a Dairy Queen nearby, people can make a donation online.
Janessa Ward, Development Coordinator, says proceeds from every DQ Blizzard sold today will help with critical treatment, healthcare, and pediatric equipment for local kids.
Funds raised will go to the areas of greatest need, she states that money can be used to purchase anything for any department, whether that’s incubators, machines that monitor’s patients vitals without having to move the kids around, and mental health tool kits.
For the past 21 years, Miracle Treat Day has fundraised for children’s hospitals. Over the past three decades, it’s donated about $48 million to local children’s hospital foundations in Canada.
