A crash on the Trans-Canada Highway just outside St. John’s is backing up traffic.
The mishap occurred in the westbound lanes in the area of the Irving service station just west of the Pitts Memorial overpass.
First responders, including police, ambulance and fire vehicles are on the scene.
Westbound traffic is backed up as far as Paradise.
The eastbound lanes are not affected.
