The Cable Public Affairs Channel, or CPAC has released a short-documentary on two key ridings in the upcoming federal election.
CPAC spoke to candidates examining issues, and finding out what is preoccupying voters.
They did so for candidates in both the ridings of St. John’s East, and St. John’s South-Mount Pearl.
CPAC says continuing out-migration, a sluggish economy and an unpopular provincial government are working against the two incumbents.
Seamus O’Regan, the minister of Indigenous Services is facing off against the Conservative Terry Martin and the New Democrat Anne Marie Anonsen in the riding of St. John’s South – Mount Pearl.
The group says a rematch is taking place in St. John’s East, where incumbent Nick Whalen is battling his old foe, the NDP’s Jack Harris. The former mayor of Pouch Cove Joedy Wall is the Conservative candidate, and the Greens are represented by David Peters.
