A man and a woman were arrested after a loaded firearm was found in a vehicle in Holyrood over the weekend.
At about 1 a.m. on Saturday, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun was seized from a vehicle that entered a police checkpoint in the town.
As a result, a 44-year-old woman and 46-year-old man were arrested.
They have been released from custody and multiple firearms charges are anticipated.
