Food First NL says things have been going well for its new Western NL Food Hub in Corner Brook.
The hub, which connects buyers with many of the producers in the area, was soft launched last month.
CEO Josh Smee says the hub has been open for about three weeks and things have been busy.
He says they have been working out all the kinks of how the system works, and one of the next steps is ramping up their partnership with Choices for Youth.
Smee says it’s providing work for people who have barriers to employment. He notes that that an employment facilitator is on site to support a team of young people who are packaging the orders.
