Submissions are now being accepted for the annual Arts and Letters Award Program.

This year, the NLMA, as part of it’s 100th anniversary celebrations, is sponsoring a one-time visual arts category—inviting submissions on the theme, “The Art of Medicine: Celebrating 100 Years of the NLMA.”

Two winners will be chosen in that category for cash prizes of $2,000 each.

The Arts and Letters program was established in 1952 to encourage the creation of new works of art and includes submissions in visual arts, literature, music, media arts and the Percy Janes First Novel Award.

Submissions are being accepted until November 22. Awards will be presented at a ceremony at The Rooms on April 19. 2024 has been declared as The Year of the Arts in Newfoundland and Labrador.
