Corner Brook was buzzing with activity this summer as it played host to thousands of cruise ship visitors in what has been one of the city’s busiest cruise ship seasons on record.
The west coast city welcomed two massive cruise ships on the weekend.
Business Development Manager with the Port of Corner Brook, Jennifer Crane, says things are only now ramping up as fall is their peak season.
She says cruise ship passengers love the fall colours, which is a big draw for their area.
In terms of economic impact, Crane says the city saw some $6 million in direct and indirect revenue from cruise ship visits last year. This year they’re on track for $10 million.
