The RCMP say search efforts for a missing fisherman off the coast of Fleur de Lys have been exhausted.
The ship, which had four men on board, went down Tuesday afternoon.
One man was rescued by another ship in the area, and the bodies of two others were recovered from the water.
Extensive search efforts were carried out over the next few days by the Canadian Coast Guard and various other partners.
Yesterday their portion of the search was officially called off, and things were transferred to the RCMP as a recovery effort, officially classified as a missing persons case.
Now, the RCMP say despite extensive search efforts the man has not been found.
While the active search has been called off, they say the case remains open as a missing person at sea, noting that all new information received about the case will be investigated.
An investigation into the sunken vessel is continuing in partnership with Transport Canada and Workplace NL.
