A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for alleged weapons offences after police were called to Holy Heart of Mary High School in the capital city’s east end earlier today.

Police were called to the school just before 2:00 p.m.

The school sent a note to families that the RNC were in the school just before noon on Monday looking for a student. It was determined that the student had not returned from lunch and was not in the building.

Shortly after 2:00, the student was seen on school grounds, outside the building. Police were called and the school lockdown protocol was enacted. The student was taken into police custody a short time later and the lockdown was lifted at 2:20. There were no injuries.
