The St. John’s International Film Festival has seen a huge increase in submissions over the last decade, according to their Executive Director.

The festival announced their 2023 lineup yesterday.

Jenn Brown says she has been with the festival for about 10 years and in that time they have seen a significant jump in interest.

When she first started they would receive about 300 submissions internationally per year, this year they received over 1,100. Brown says that’s a testament to the festival and its reputation, as well as the local arts community.
