A number of events are planned to mark National Forest Week.

Forestry officials are visiting schools throughout the week to discuss fire prevention, wildlife control and the effects of climate change on the province’s forests.

Students are encouraged to enter a number of photo, drawing and poetry contests, sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Forestry.
