The vehicle belonging to an elderly woman who has been missing from Conception Bay South for about six weeks has been found. The RNC have confirmed that the car was located in the town near the talc mine in Long Pond on Monday.
There has been no sign of Anna Gaulton or her small dog, Cuddles.
RNC Constable James Cadigan says an extensive search of the area is now underway.
He says ground search and rescue, K-9 services, helicopter and high angle experts have been involved. They even drained the water from the talc mine, but to now, the missing woman has not been located.
Anyone with information is asked to call the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
