The province’s Health Minister says preliminary work of the All Party Committee on Substance Use and Addictions has begun.

The province first announced the committee earlier this month on the heels of an impassioned rally at Confederation Building calling for more action on supports for those struggling with addiction.

Tom Osborne says the three parties have put forward their representatives.

With that, he says the “backroom work” has started, and the committee will start meeting very soon.
