Canada Post has awarded its Community Foundation Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation Grant to First Light Friendship Centre.

The organization received $50,000 toward its programs.

First Light’s Justin Campbell says the grant will be used to help advance Truth and Reconciliation in St. John’s.

That, he says, includes promoting the 42 calls for change outlined as a result of the Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
