A tip line set up by RNC to help identify suspects in connection with a proliferation of graffiti on private property on the northeast Avalon has already resulted in calls.
RNC Constable James Cadigan says the tip line, which is one of a number of measures being taken to address the problem, has already resulted in a number of names which police are following up for investigation.
He says it takes a community to help address things like property crime, especially senseless acts resulting in thousands of dollars in damages to property owners.
He says the RNC know that a tip line alone is not the solution to issues like graffiti, but it does help them gain a better picture from the community as a whole as to what’s happening.
The graffiti tip line is 709-729-8800.
