Agriculture Expo 2023 is underway at the in Conception Bay South this weekend.
Hosted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Agriculture (NLFA), the event’s aim is to highlight the importance of the province’s agriculture and agri-food industry, which provides approximately 6,500 jobs across the province.
The expo features exhibits from various sectors, including a farmer’s market, information sessions and cooking demonstrations, as well as kid friendly attractions like a petting farm and interactive milking cow.
NLFA President Wayne Simmons explained that the federation’s motto is ‘Farmers Helping Farmers’, and that sharing information and speaking in a unified voice can better enhance. the agriculture industry, and the province as a whole.
The expo runs from today until Sunday at the CBS Arena in Conception Bay South.
