A skating surface is among the top items users of Bowring Park would like to see in order to improve the experience for users of the historic west end park.

The capital city released the results of what it heard from the public when it asked the question, “What’s Next for Bowring Park?”

A public engagement session was held in the spring. Among the top items users would like to see are: improved lighting, a skating surface or loop, a walking trail to Kilbride, coffee and food concessions, and a paved parking lot.

Most users live in the west end but a significant number of goers are from the east end. 68 per cent of users drive to the park, while 37 per cent of those asked use the park several times a month.
