A long-time member of the Nunatsiavut Government, and former President, is stepping down.
Minister of Education and Economic Development and Acting Minister of Language, Culture and Tourism Tony Andersen tendered his resignation for personal reasons.
President Johannes Lampe is offering Andersen his gratitude for his “significant contributions to the Nunatsiavut Executive Council over his many years of service as a Minister.”
Andersen served as President of the Nunatsiavut Government following the resignation of William Andersen III. He also served as AngajukKâk of Nain.
Andersen will stay on as Ordinary Member for Nain.
