Bell Aliant customers in Newfoundland and Labrador have had their service restored after the second phone outage in the province this week.

The company says two fibre cables delivering phone and some television service were damaged yesterday affecting many customers in Atlantic Canada. The cause of the damage is under investigation.

Land line outages were affected at the RNC, RCMP and provincial government.

Service was restored last evening.
