Fire prevention week has kicked off around the province, and the Marystown Volunteer Fire Department is marking the occasion with a number of events.
The department will be making presentations at Sacred Heart Academy and visiting early childhood education centres, following it up with a Fire Hall Open House on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
They will cap off the week with their annual Firefighters Banquet on Saturday, October 14.
