Academy Canada and CNA have signed an articulation agreement that will help to address recruitment of early childhood educators in the province.
Graduates of Academy Canada’s two-year Early Childhood Education program will have direct-entry acceptance into the College of the North Atlantic’s Advanced Diploma in ECE Administrative Leadership.
On successful completion of the diploma, students can then apply directly to the fourth year of CNA’s Bachelor of Applied Arts in Early Childhood Education.
The federal-provincial Early Learning and Child Care Action Plan was developed to increase the number of fully-certified ECEs in the province by at least 60 per cent by the end of 2025. As a result, some 700 seats are being added to post-secondary early learning and child care programs in the province.
