Parts of the island are in for a drenching. Environment Canada has a heavy rainfall warning out for the south coast and parts of the southwest, as well as some sections of the near interior.
Angelique Maynard of the Gander Weather Office says it will be rainy in many parts of the province but heavy rainfall warnings are confined to the south, southwest and west-central.
