There was an armed robbery at the Avalon Mall in St. John’s last night.
Around 7 p.m., a man brandished a weapon after being approached by staff and fled the area on foot.
A short time later, RNC officers located the suspect, who matched the description, in another area of the city.
A 33-year-old man was charged with armed robbery and taken to the lockup for court today.
