Metrobus is making some changes to the way in which GoBus bookings are done.

Metrobus is in the process of adopting the iCabbi software used by many cab companies in the metro region to book taxis.

GoBus currently operates a fleet of 18 buses, 5 dedicated taxis and a variety of extra taxis available for specific day-of use.

Metrobus General Manager Judy Powell says GoBus users won’t see a big change in operations once the iCabbi app is fully implemented.

“From a service perspective, not a huge change,” says Powell, but the app will allow more cab companies to be available to GoBus customers for calls.

Customers will still be able to book service through whatever means to which they are accustomed.
