If you’re planning to bundle up before winter fully sets in, look no further than the Village Shopping Centre and the VOCM Cares Coats for Kids Campaign.
As of 1:00 p.m. today, the Coats for Kids pop-up shop is open to the public so people can browse through and take home the many donations of coats, hats, mittens and boots for both youth and adults.
Volunteers and community groups around the province have been hard at work collecting donations for the last month.
And we are ready to go! Open to the public Thursday(1:00-7:00) and Friday(10:00-4:00). A very big thank you to all of our volunteers for helping make this possible. pic.twitter.com/a5gRwsqhkx

Although the pop-up store is in St. John’s, Janelle Lambert, Development Director at VOCM Cares, says drop-off sites around the province are coordinated with local charities.
She says that’s to make sure clothing that is donated in one area stays in that same area. a full list can be found on the VOCM Cares website.
The Coats for Kids pop-up shop is open Thursday, October 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, October 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., downstairs inside the Village Shopping Centre.
Lambert thanks their many partners: Newfoundland Power, Woodward Motors, the Village Shopping Centre and Deluxe Dry Cleaners, and volunteers for making the Coats for Kids Campaign possible.
