Premier Andrew Furey has met with MUN President Dr. Neil Bose to provide some direction following the release of the Auditor General’s report.
Furey gave details following a line of questioning from PC education critic Barry Petten.
Petten asked what makes government believe change will happen when some members of the Board of Regents have been sitting there for years.
Furey responded by saying that while meeting with the MUN President he expressed the public concern regarding the report. He says he gave the university a mandate to do better with significant timelines, noting that people in the province “deserve better.”
