Metro police tried to stop a car in St. John’s last night but the driver, who was known to them, sped off. The RNC did not pursue in the interest of public safety but a short time later, they found the vehicle in a parking lot in the west end.
A 39-year-old woman was arrested for flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, impaired driving, resisting arrest and breaches of court orders.
The car was seized and the woman held for court.
