RNC Chief Joe Boland will speak next week to recent media reports concerning his involvement in correspondence regarding the St. John’s Status of Women’s Council’s former Executive Director.

A letter was sent to the council signed by RNC Chief Joe Boland among others.

The Independent last week released correspondence involving the Provincial Advisory Council and Chief Boland attained through Access to Information that preceded the letter about Jenny Wright.

The Chief’s involvement has raised serious concerns and Wright told VOCM News that it’s important for those who are “speaking out and pushing back” to understand the landscape within which they are operating.

Chief Boland is out of the province but will address concerns raised by the Independent article next Wednesday at 11 a.m. at RNC Headquarters.
