Portable toilets have been delivered to the tent encampment near Colonial Building.

At least one of them was delivered by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE).

Access to city washrooms at Bannerman Park was blocked earlier this week due to damage, vandalism and public safety concerns leading to the city calling for the province to supply port a potties to the people staying there.

The province said no, and a joint news conference involving city, and provincial officials as well as representatives of various community organizations made no definitive statement on supply of port a potties yesterday.
