NL Health Services say they’re increasing security measures at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after an increase in the number of safety complaints from staff and visitors.
The health authority says they’ve increased security patrols at the hospital and have put in additional surveillance cameras both inside and outside the property.
NL Health Services says security personnel are available to accompany staff and visitors through the parking lot if they feel unsafe.
If any suspicious activity is witnessed, people are asked to report it to security.
