Two people in this province are among the 129 lab-confirmed cases of salmonella linked to Malichita or Rudy brand cantaloupe.
As of December 7, there were cases of the illness in BC, Ontario, Quebec, PEI, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador. Five people have died from the outbreak and 44 more have been hospitalized.
Around a third of those infected are children five and younger and nearly half are seniors 65 and up.
