The provincial minister of Women and Gender Equality believes recent federal money announced will have a significant impact on those fleeing gender-based violence.
Pam Parsons and Federal MP Lisa Hepfner announced $13.6-million for the implementation of the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence.
Parsons says her department has been meeting with stakeholders since last winter to talk about the plan.
She says it is all about getting direction from them and hearing what they need to do their work.
