Your VOCM and Canadian Blood Services are teaming up for a holiday blood drive this coming Thursday.

Community Development Coordinator Gord Skiffington says when people roll up their sleeves this holiday season, they aren’t just giving the gift of blood –  they’re giving the gift of joy.

He says between Thursday and January 2nd they have over 440 appointments in this province that they need filled in order to meet the demand. On Thursday alone there are about 30 unfilled appointment slots.

The blood drive is happening from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Canadian Blood Services on Wicklow Street. Booking an appointment is encouraged and came be done by visiting blood.ca or call 1-888-2-DONATE
