One of Newfoundland and Labrador’s representatives in the federal cabinet says by June of 2024 they’re hoping to have more seniors in dental chairs.
The federal government is working towards implementing its national dental care program.
The minister responsible for seniors, Seamus O’Regan, says in the coming year eligible seniors will receive a letter inviting them to register for the program.
He says the letter will include a phone number to call, and registration will result in a package that will lay out everything a dental care patient is entitled to.
