The Town of Conception Bay South is signaling to developers that it is open for business and eager to contribute to building more inclusive housing.

The town included what it calls a “proactive stance” to take advantage of new federal and provincial government housing initiative in its municipal budget brought down last week.

Building permit fees are being eliminated for all housing projects approved under federal and provincial affordable and rental housing programs.

The building permit fee for multi-unit developments will be reduced by 50 per cent.
