A new report suggests Canadians will be making some changes to their grocery shopping habits in the new year.
The report released by Dalhousie University’s Agri-Food Analytics Lab predicts that many Canadians will be cutting back on specialty items like snack foods in order to save.
Program Coordinator, Janet Music, says more people will be planning their shopping lists based on what’s on sale.
She says pre-pandemic grocery prices are a thing of the past, but with some inflationary pressures holding steady, retailers are more inclined to put products on sale at their past prices. Music expects many shoppers will be jumping on those deals when they hit the shelves.
