Marine Atlantic is looking forward to the day they open the new administration facility in Port aux Basques so that all operations can exist under one roof. The 24,000 sq. ft., two-storey building will amalgamate administrative staff currently operating out of four separate facilities, most of which is leased space.
Company President and CEO Murray Hupman says the move will be a positive one all the way around for the company.
Amalgamating all the different functions under one roof will be healthy for the organization and the employees, he says, and will lead to improved outcomes on several fronts.
