Somebody busted open the Avalon Mall in a pre-dawn incident this morning by using a piece of heavy equipment.
A loader was used to create an opening in the Sport Chek area of the mall at about 5 a.m.
The RNC say it caused extensive damage to the building.
The loader was left at the scene but RNC say a suspect vehicle, a white Nissan SUV, possibly a Rogue or Murano, fled the area travelling east on Prince Philip Drive after leaving the parking lot from Thorburn Road.
RNC are looking for information or video footage from the area around the time of the break-and-enter from 4 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.
There is no word yet on what may have been stolen from the mall.
