The City of St. John’s has set Tuesday, March 12 as the date for the by-election in Ward 4.
The byelection was triggered when ward councillor Ian Froude stepped down last month to pursue other opportunities.
Nominations open on Tuesday, February 6 and close the following week on February 13.
The election period begins Friday, February 23, with residents heading to the polls on Tuesday, March 12.
So far, two people have announced their intention to run in the by-election—curler Greg Smith and businessman Tom Davis.
