Police Dog Services helped nab two people in connection with a vehicle theft in the capital city last night.
Around 8:00 p.m., RNC spotted a suspicious vehicle on Harbour View Avenue and tried to pull it over, however it drove away from police, turning onto Torbay Road and crashing into a snow bank.
The driver fled on foot while the passenger stayed inside the vehicle. Police dog Seaforce tracked down the fleeing man and he was arrested.
Both men now face charges of possessing property obtained crime, while the 60-year-old driver from Dunville faces additional charges of flight from police, dangerous driving, resisting arrest, breach of a court order and driving while suspended.
Both men were held to appear in court.
