Memorial University is responding to concerns from the faculty association after their request for an emergency meeting was declined by the institution.
MUNFA was looking to speak with the president of the university after staff were ordered to hand in university-issued devices such as laptops and computers.
The university says that like other institutions targeted by a cyberattack, they are unable to answer certain questions, but Vice-President (Grenfell Campus), Dr. Ian Sutherland, is holding daily meetings with staff, faculty and students.
The university says that any faculty member facing substantive impacts on the delivery of their course is receiving direct one-to-one supports. They also say that the academic continuity planning group was expanded to include 15 MUNFA members.
