A man whose drug-fueled crime spree left a St. John’s neighbourhood shaken almost a decade ago is back in the crosshairs of police.
Thirty-four-year-old Christopher Snow was arrested at his home on Danny Drive in Harbour Grace on Tuesday. At the same time, 28-year-old Lucas Rowe was arrested at his home on Water Street in Carbonear.
More than 30 grams of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia were seized at Rowe’s house. A smaller amount of cocaine was seized at Snow’s home, along with a number of prohibited weapons, ammunition and items used to cut cocaine for sale on the street.
Both men face a raft of charges including drug trafficking, breach of probation, and failure to comply with release conditions including, in Snow’s case, a ban on firearms, with more charges expected.
In 2015, Snow was sentenced to eight years in prison for a spree of home invasions in which he forced people, at gunpoint, in the middle of the night, to withdraw money for him at ATMs.
He chalked it all up to his drug addition.
Last summer, Snow was arrested and charged with a break-in in Bishop’s Cove that saw the theft of several ATVs and equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
He’s due back in court January 31 in that case, but due in court today following his latest arrest.
