One runner got ahead of all the others on the Cape to Cabot road race this morning in St. John’s.
Pictures and video posted to Twitter show a moose running along the race path near Signal Hill Road and Battery Road.

It’s unclear where the moose began its run, but it did not appear fatigued.
The Cape to Cabot Road Race, dubbed as the toughest race in North America, is taking place today in St. John’s.
