RCMP on the west coast seized a quantity of cocaine and prescription drugs following a traffic stop in Deer Lake.

Police pulled the car over Saturday afternoon after it was suspected that the driver was impaired. The 27-year-old man was arrested and taken to the detachment for further testing.

His vehicle and the drugs found inside were seized by police. His license was also suspended.

RCMP are awaiting the results of the tests to determine if impaired driving charges are warranted.
