Snowmobile enthusiasts are hoping for a bit more snow to get those ideal conditions on the province’s groomed trails, even with a good base of snow in most areas this winter.
Discovery Trail Snowmobile Association President Peter Troke says trail pass sales are up and conditions in his area are good, but they could use a bit more snow to get the groomers out.
He says the bogs in the Clarenville area are frozen and the ponds are frozen “for the most part.” He says a bit more snow will get them “over the hump” and get the machines out grooming.
In western Newfoundland snowmobilers should be prepared for heavy snow conditions says Troke.
