The Canadian Mental Health Association of Newfoundland and Labrador has formally adopted a four-day work week for all employees following what it calls a highly successful pilot project.
The CMHA-NL says the permanent adoption of a four-day work week underscores the organization’s “commitment to promoting mental health and work-life balance,” and recognizes what it says is the profound impact of workplace practices on overall well-being.
The CMHA-NL says its pilot project exceeded expectations and showed significant improvements in employee well-being, reduced stress levels and increased job satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency.
The new work schedule is now being fully implemented, with employees offered a three day weekend.
